FAQs
At KSIR, we’re dedicated to one goal — helping you leave in better condition than when you arrived.
What Can I Expect in My First Appointment?
Your first appointment at KSIR is designed to get you on the path to recovery as quickly as possible. We combine consultation, assessment, and treatment all in one session, so you’ll leave with more than just answers — you’ll have a clear plan for progress.
Here’s what to expect:
- Comprehensive Assessment – We’ll listen to your story, discuss your concerns, and assess your movement, posture, and any problem areas.
- Treatment Begins Straight Away – Unlike other clinics where the first session is just a consultation, we aim to start treatment during your first visit. This may involve hands-on treatment, electrical therapy, or movement coaching.
Personalised Support – You’ll receive tailored exercises, stretches, or adaptations specific to your needs (not just a generic handout). We use anatomy apps and visual aids to help you understand what’s happening in your body. We’ll also demonstrate how we want you to perform exercises, which might not always follow “textbook form” — because we adapt the process to suit you as an individual.
Do You Accept Insurance?
At present, KSIR does not directly accept insurance. However, some insurance providers allow clients to claim back expenses if they submit a receipt. We can provide a detailed invoice after your appointment if this applies to you.
We recommend checking with your insurance provider to see if sports therapy, rehabilitation, or shockwave treatment is covered under your policy. If you have questions about this process, feel free to get in touch, and we’ll guide you on what we can provide to support your claim.
How Long is a Typical Session?
We offer a range of session lengths to suit the type of treatment you need:
Initial Appointment – 45 minutes to allow time for consultation, assessment, and treatment.
Follow-up Sessions – 30 minutes for ongoing treatment and progress reviews.
You can book your appointment online via our app, or you can call or text us if you need assistance. We also reserve daily slots for emergency appointments or last-minute bookings, so if you experience a sudden flare-up or find yourself with unexpected availability, contact us, and we’ll do our best to fit you in.
Can I Cancel or Reschedule My Appointment?
Yes, you can cancel or reschedule your appointment, but we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows us to offer your slot to another client who may require treatment.
Here’s how it works:
Booking & Payments – When you book via our app, you’ll enter your payment details, but you’ll only be charged after the appointment is complete. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, the system will automatically charge a cancellation fee.
Rescheduling – You can reschedule your appointment directly through the app without any extra charges if done more than 24 hours in advance.
No-Shows – Our booking system tracks missed appointments, so we can identify repeat no-shows. This helps us prioritise bookings for clients who value our time and the service we offer.
If something unexpected comes up, give us a call, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your situation. Our goal is to work with people who value our time as much as we value theirs.
Do I Need a Doctor’s Referral?
No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment at KSIR. Our team is fully qualified to assess and treat a range of injuries and conditions without requiring a referral.
However, in some cases — such as post-surgery rehabilitation or for certain medical conditions — we may ask for a referral letter before starting treatment. If you have any relevant medical reports, scan results, or letters from your doctor, feel free to bring them along. These documents help us create a treatment plan that’s tailored to your specific needs.
